Monteverdi is set in the small village of Castiglioncello del Trinoro, in authentic Tuscany, at a height of 2,600 feet – oops, around 800 metres. Comprising a small number of luxury villas, a small hotel, restaurant and cafe, rest and tranquility is assured, with long distance views across the countryside south and west. Ideal for a relaxing stay with Montepulciano, Pienza  and Montelcino all within easy driving distance – across some interesting Tuscan roads! The hotel rooms are large, very private and beautifully equipped – restoration is traditional with shades of natural Tuscan colours – pale render, natural stone, old timber and terracotta ceilings and carefully crafted details – ceilings, doors and locks and the wonderful showers. Good restaurant, friendly and very helpful staff, and excellent value local wine.
